These bowls are hand turned from local North Dakota timbers either diseased or needing to be removed for landscaping reasons. The type of tree that the bowls came from are inscribed on the bottom.After a year or so of drying the rough turned bowl is returned again until smooth, then it is finished with food safe walnut oil.
